Snowmobile boots
As
you get ready to head out for your first snowmobile outing of the
season, take some time to check out your gear. Being eager to hit
the trail sometimes means that we have inadequate equipment. Worn
out snowmobile boots will not only be uncomfortable, but can potentially
put an end to an otherwise great weekend.
Some things to consider when selecting your snowmobile boots:
· Select a boot that will provide superior traction during
aggressive riding
· Be sure the boot provides good support
· Inspect the inner shell to see that the liner is quality
· Will the boot provide extra protection against cold and
moisture?
· Check for flexibility to reduce rider fatigue
· Inspect the lace system and ankle straps for adjustable
comfort
· Check the height of the boot for its ability to keep you
dry when walking through deep snow
· Inspect the insulation and the boots ability to protect
during sub-zero temperatures
· See that the boot allows for toe movement
· Inspect the tread on the boot
· Select a high abrasion material that will endure a rugged
environment
