How does Yamaha feel about racing this winter? “We’re
serious about continuing our 4-stroke race program on the enduro
and oval circuits and expanding into cross country for 2006,”
Yamaha Snowmobile Race Manager Greg Marier said. “We’re
offering one of the richest contingency programs available this
season, more than $100,000 in prize money, to reward our racers.”
“Our competitors are on the track, building Yamaha brand
awareness and showing Yamaha’s superior performance, handling,
ride quality and durability in brutal racing conditions” Marier
added. “Plus, racing builds brand loyalty and pride of ownership.
We’re confident our high performance 4-stroke Genesis engines
are going to put Yamaha racers on the podiums.”
Yamaha will be offering contingency prize money for racers competing
on stock-appearing RX-1 or Apex models in select Pro and Semi-Pro
classes on the MIRA, USSA, WSA Xtreme Ice and USCC circuits this
season, as well as extra-rich prizes for three special focus events,
the Soo I-500, the Eagle River Derby and the Red Lake I-500.
Contact the individual race circuits for the details on the qualifying
models and classes.
